Newlands CID moves in with Recreation & Parks in Palmboom Road!

New Office Location

Newlands Community Improvement District office is now open at 59 Palmboom Road in Newlands. This move was made possible by David Dunn from the City's Department of Recreation & Parks after signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the department and the CID. The office is located in the old garages in the Recreation and Parks works yard.

Collaboration Pays Off

Finding affordable premises in Newlands was tough, but thanks to the collaboration between Newlands residents and Recreation & Parks, reaching an agreement on the MOA was a breeze.

New Office Features

The office opened in mid-December 2024 and includes a shared office for two admin staff members and a 24/7 Control Room. The location allows easy access to Palmboom Park and the works yard, making it convenient for outdoor staff to access tools and facilities.

Cost-Effective Solution

Originally budgeted for rented office space, this new location will be highly cost-effective in the long run for the CID.
