Newlands CID Map

The underlying map below has been prepared by the City of Cape Town's CID office.  The green shading and red annotations have been added by the CID team to make it easier to read.

• There are some anomalies at the boundary edges (Colinton Road outside the Vineyard Hotel, for example) which can be confusing at this resolution.  If you are not sure whether your home falls into the area, please contact the team at info@newlandscid.org 

• It's not universally known that the roads between Dean Street and Princess Anne Avenue / Klipper Road are officially in Rondebosch, not Newlands.  Most members of the public consider this to be in Newlands and historically these streets have had at least as close an affinity to Newlands as they have with Rondebosch.  When the CID was being established, the CID team consulted with residents and property professionals in the area and concluded that incorporating these streets into the 'Newlands CID' will be widely welcomed and neither disrespectful nor economically harmful.
